James Ustby

James Ustby is a dedicated financial professional and aspiring Certified Financial Planner (CFP) based in North Carolina. Originally from Minnesota, James earned his degree in Financial Management and Economics from the University of St. Thomas. He began his career at Ameriprise Financial, where he spent three years honing his skills and obtaining his Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor (APMA) designation.

Driven by a passion for finance and a desire for personal growth, James relocated to North Carolina with his fiancée Catherine, who works as a Pediatric Physical Therapist at UNC Chapel Hill Children's Hospital. As the eldest of three siblings, James maintains strong family ties, with two brothers in Minnesota and a sister attending UNC Chapel Hill.

Beyond his professional pursuits, James is an avid athlete who completed an Ironman Triathlon in Lake Placid, New York, and has plans to participate in future events. He is also a Notary Public for North Carolina, actively involved in his local community as a member of St. Thomas More Church in Chapel Hill. James's enthusiasm for sports extends to supporting UNC Chapel Hill's athletic programs, regularly attending various sporting events.

With a strong foundation in financial management and a commitment to continuous learning, James is well-positioned to provide valuable insights and guidance in the field of personal finance and investment management.
